The International Maritime Organization (IMO) will hold the 109th session of the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC 109) from 2 to 6 December 2024 at its headquarters in London. The meeting will be chaired by Mrs. Mayte Medina of the United States, with Capt. Theofilos Mozas of Greece serving as Vice-Chair. Cyber risk management is one of the key items on the agenda, reflecting the growing importance of protecting digital systems used in ship operations and shore-based activities. The discussions aim to strengthen existing frameworks and develop effective measures to mitigate cyber threats in the maritime industry.
