MPA and MISC Strengthen Maritime Cybersecurity

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and MISC Berhad have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance cybersecurity measures in the maritime sector. As part of the three-year agreement, both organizations will conduct cyber solution trials in collaboration with the Maritime Cyber Assurance and Operations Centre. These efforts aim to enhance cybersecurity in marine operations through innovative trials and secure data-sharing initiatives.

Additionally, the partnership includes technology trials under the Just-in-time Planning and Coordination Platform of digitalPort@SGTM. The initiative will also support data-sharing and cloud-based services for secure e-clearances and e-certificates in the Port of Singapore and onboard Singapore-registered ships. This collaboration seeks to address cybersecurity challenges in maritime operations and strengthen resilience in the digital era.
